Sound and Sound Vibration is all around us, everyday, everywhere, from the the sounds of the waves, to the sound of the wind rustling amongst the leaves of a tree or a drop of rain as it falls and hits the ground, even our own voices, it is a part of nature and universal law. As well as this, there is also now, significant scientific evidence to show that when applied properly, it can have a profoundly powerful effect upon our ability to heal.

Sound Therapy and Sound Healing works on many levels, whether it be mental, physical, emotional or spiritual, the effect of sounds can have a profound impact upon our mind, body and spirit. The benefits of which can range from deep relaxation, calming the mind or a reduction in stress, anxiety and depression, to a more profound impact upon your overall health and wellbeing, the more complicated the condition, the bigger the impact upon our lives.

Sound Therapy raises awareness of, and enables you to gain a richer understanding of your whole self, your health and your overall wellbeing, by bringing into harmony any imbalances within the energetic field. 

The added bonus to the use of therapeutic sound within a healthcare environment, is the opportunity for social interaction, as most of the instruments are relatively easy to learn to play, with a little guidance you can reap the rewards, while at the same time boosting confidence, stimulating the mind, helping to improve co-ordination and motor skills, bringing a sense of joy and excitement to those who take part, as well as those around you.

As well as this research, sound therapy has been reported to benefit those with other ailments, illnesses and conditions too, with many observations on the benefits for those with auto immune diseases, such as Multiple Sclerosis, as well as other inflammatory diseases such as Fibromyalgia and Encephalomyelitis (ME).

Ongoing research into the benefits of Sound Therapy is helping us to gain a far richer understanding, not only in the approach from a complimentary perspective, but also on the impact of sound therapy upon life-limiting illnesses, such as cancer, with numerous books written, including that of a Senior Oncologist - Dr Mitchell L Gaynor M.D. who has used Sound Therapy on his patients, with remarkable results.
